A funny... story
This event happened a few months ago and it cost Alto's
tooth
...
Let me tell you about it.
I lived at that time in an appartment, on the second floor, and the window of my living room faced the parking lot. I came back from school as usual in the afternoon and I didn't pay any attention to what Alto was doing or even where he was. But, after a while, I became aware of his absence. I looked around all over the house, searching in any place he could possibly be, calling his name. However, no response. I began to worry and finally, I noticed that the window of the living room was open and the screen that usually blocks it was open a little bit. A horrible thought went through my mind: "He couldn't have fallen out of the window..." Unfortunately, this was the only answer. So I went downstairs with my sister, in the parking lot and we started to call him. We first checked the trash containers and then below the cars and finally in the bushes that were around the parking lot. Suddenly, I heard a mewing in the bushes and I ran over to look in them. Alto was there, terrified, dirty, wet and wounded... He was so
pityful
! I carried him in my arms and came back home to inspect him. He had scratches on his nose and his paws. I tried to wash these areas but he looked so tired that I couldn't help letting him sleep first. Fortunately, he didn't have any broken bones or major injuries, which seemed a miracle to me.
It wasn't until the next day that I discovered a broken piece of tooth pinned in his inner lips! I don't want to recall this moment. I blamed myself so bad for not having examined his mouth, of course!
Well, this is the story, maybe sad rather than funny, of my poor cat and his fall... Alto feels fine now but since that day, he approaches the windows carefully, as much as me.
