FUNTRIVIA

A cat uses 32 muscles to control its ears. The reflective part of a cat's eye is called a "tapetum". It enables a cat to see many times that of a human at night by sending the light back through the retina. A cat's visual acuity is very poor at close range. Anything close than 6 inches to a cat's eyes will be a blur. Cats have 30 teeths.
Cats have 5 toes on their forefeet and 4 toes on their hind feet.
Like birds, cats have a homing ability that uses its biological clock, the angle of the sun, and the Earth's magnetic field. A cat taken far from home can return to it. But if a cat's owners move far from its home, the cat can't find them.
Proportional to their size, cats have the largerst eyes of all mammals. In Great Britain, black cats are taught to bring good luck. The average cat food meal is the equivalent to about 5 mice. Neutering a cat extends its lifespan by 2 or 3 years, which is usually 15 years.
